Guest guest
We know that any house (A) if 12th to a house (B) is the ³Loss² of that house (B). The 5th house is always 12th to the 6th house. It is said in standard lists of Karakas (significations) that the 5th house signifies the Spleen Organ in the human body. The spleen is responsible for a majority of the immune system work in the body, being the place where white blood cells are produced and regroup, or work from. The spleen is responsible for cleansing the blood of old red cells. A quote I found on the web: The spleen serves as a repository for lymphocytes, the white blood cells that produce antibodies to foreign substances ("antigens"), such as bacteria and viruses, to eliminate these threats. The area of the spleen which houses the white blood cells is called the "white pulp". The sixth house rules disease, and as loss to that, the 5th house rules "curing disease" or "losing your disease". We can see clearly that indeed, the spleen helps in this process, and thus is ruled or signified by the 5th house. It is said that the 4th house rules the heart, and in general, the houses rule from 1 to 12 from head to toe. And interestingly, the 5th house comes after the fourth, and the spleen is just below the heart. So this is a rather perfect medical signification. A perfect example of an astrological principle that falls into "medical astrology". Das Goravani
