Guest guest
Pamho, agtSP! Hare Krishna! I'm sorry that there has not been happening so much in here lately. I'm kind of busy these days. But here is a little something. I would appreciate if someone would comment upon this and correct spelling errors - and all other kinds of errors. Thank you in advance! Ys, AKD Atheists are inconsistent If atheism is true, then we have no reason to think that absolute and objective values exists. In such a scenario all values will be relative, and thus no value can be said to be better than other values. Not only will all values be relative, but there will also not be any rational reason to choose one action over another action. The atheist has no more reason to get out of bed in the morning than to stay in bed. The atheist has no more reason to choose living than not to choose living. All the choices atheist makes could just as well have been the exact opposite. It would not have made any difference. In short, the lifes of atheists are utterly meaningless. But the atheist can not help but giving more value to certain things and actions than to other things and actions, and they can not help but choosing one action over another action. They do it all the time, just like everyone else. Thus the atheists gives value to certain actions and they act as if these actions are better than other actions even though nothing has any value according to their own worldview. When an atheist gives value to a given thing or action, then they create a worldview or a philosophy that is directly contradicting the fact, that if atheism is true, then nothing has more value than anything else. Because atheists can not help creating a worldview or philosophy in which they give more value to certain things and actions than to other things and actions, and because they can not help acting as if their worldview or philosophy is true, then it is in practice impossible to be consistent in ones atheism, and that is in and of itself a practical argument against the proclaimed truth of atheism. In fact, when we observe that no human can not help but giving value to certain things then it is probably more rational to conclude that values comes from an absolute and objective source. And since we never see values that does not come from living beings, then it becomes obvious that behind absolute and objective values there must be an objective and absolute living being, God. So, if it has to make sense to get out of bed in the morning, to help others, to turn left instead of right, then theism has to be true. Otherwise everything is meaningless.
