Guest guest
Dear All, I heard a story somewhere that I would like to recount. In the 19th century during British occupation of India, travellers found that their drinking water would spoil in a few days of their sea journey from Great Britain to Calcutta, but found that they never had the problem during the reverse journey. That is, the water stayed fresh during the long sea voyage. They found that the water used in the journey from Calcutta was taken from the Hooghly - a tributary of the Ganges river. Such is the purity of the Ganga water. Ganga Mata ki Jai ! Here is a link with some quick notes about Ganga. http://www.atributetohinduism.com/articles_hinduism/11.htm Jai Maa Nanda
