Guest guest
"There are two classes of perfect souls: those who attain perfection through spiritual practice, and those who attain it through the grace of God. Some farmers irrigate their fields with great labour. Only then can they grow crops. But there are some who do not have to irrigate at all; their fields are flooded by rain. They don't have to go to the trouble of drawing water. One must practice spiritual discipline laboriously, in order to avoid the clutches of maya. Those who attain liberation through the grace of God do not have to labour. But they are few indeed. The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna
Guest guest
Dear Friends, There is only perfection, all is God-given, freely as the grace of One life, AND the thought of something "else", the ignorance of what truly is. Imho. Guest guest
Dear Friends, IMHO, There is only One Grace, One Soul, many rooms, endless windows and doors. THIS IS the work of the Siddhas. But the main question for many is, "How to realize the truth of it." Peace and Love, michael
Guest guest
One of my favorite Ramana quotes from Talks: ....You know how far away youare from Madras. Can you tell me how far away you are from the Self in order that you should seek it? p. 395 Love, Hillary

But many people are clueless even though they have heard the words that you just quoted. The truly pertinent question for those "clueless" ONES is, How can they get a clue? There are many sincere persons of many different faiths, who yearn to realize God, SELF, Brahman, or what ever you may call it or not call it. They long for a glimpse of the eternal and the divine. And for the most part hearing of the philosophy that you quote won't help them a bit. Effecting realization is the role of spiritual practices. Of course once a person such as yourSELF has realized the ineffable then there is no need for searching and struggling, because then ONE has realized their inherit freedom. One uses a boat to cross the great ocean of samsara and having reached the other shore it would be silly to just hang out on the beach in the boat, wouldn't it? But first cross that ocean and then one can explore the new world. Peace and love, michael
