Guest guest
She is fond of sacrifice, such as of Tapas, etc. Sacrifice here may be taken as the sacrificial offering of the devotee. NOTE: Cp. name 230/mahA-yAgNa-kramArAdhyA: She who is worshiped by the ritual of Mahayagna; i.e. the worship of Sri-Chakra, from bhupura to bindu, with various upacharas either external [bahir-yAga] or internal [antar-yAgNa], according to Bhavopanisad. She is worshiped with great Yagnas such as SrI-Yagna, AmbA Yagna and Agnistoma; and She is, in fact, the Goal of all these. Alternatively, She is MahA-LakshmI (yajNa = Vishnu; priyA = beloved of). - Dr. C. Suryanarayana Murthy, Commentary on the Sri Lalita Sahasranama, 1962 , "NMadasamy" <ashwini_puralasamy wrote: > > > yajNapriyA: Fond of sacrifice. > > Or yajnA, according to the Sruti means Visnu. > > > BhAskararAya's Commentary > Translated into English by R.
