Guest guest
Namaste all advaitins at heart, Namaste moderators; Some months ago i read a couple of posts that unsettled my mind, which led me to a rather "abrasive" reaction, which in turn was a grievous mistake on my part, for the person behind the id was truly the one person who really welcomed me into discussing such deep thoughts and views, which i had never been able to discuss prior to my coming into this group some 8 months ago. I must rise my tone once again, for, just as last time, i feel the future of this list to be in danger. However, i sincerely hope i am not repeating my stupid mistake of accusing someone who in the end is just a friend (which possibly is the culmination of advaitic thought), with my simple intention of making matters clear and uncovering hidden motives. The height of my spiritual despair occured around the beggining of last year, after some 5 years studying various texts on jnana yoga and advaita. One shloka in the version of the B.G. i had had been purposefully mistranslated, and that had my mind twisting and turning. One simple sentence blew away the contents of 5 years of study. Members in this list came to my aid (thanks Hersh-ji, Chitta-ji -please come back soon, and AdiMa) and the knot of ignorance was untied. This knot was reinforced, after discussing the matter with one "ANIL ANTHONY", not by chance a devotee of "dattaswami". Now, this "surya" surfaces in the purest source for advaitic satsangh online, throwing handfuls of salt in such fertile grounds. Real advaitins have no hidden motives. How could one try to merge in the oneness of being, while simultaneously meaning something other than what is said? This being put, it is futile fo discuss with "surya", since he has come to this place of exchange in order to preach. How could an exchange take place where someone wants exclusively to speak and not to listen? His hidden motive is to spread the message of "dattaswami". His tools are misguidance and misconception, a tainted interpretation of what has only one truth behind. This individual's ideas are the farthest from the scope of this list that have ever been allowed posting privileges. He is a second hand preacher, for he preaches not his own experience, but someone elses'. How could knowledge appear in a more dualistic, truth-blocking form? And worst of all, in "dattaswami"'s own words, jnana yoga is the divine knowledge needed to recognise god's incarnation amidst the "unreal human incarnations", which is only one in each generation. And, just by chance, this happens to be "dattaswami". Only "dattaswami" is god, the rest are what then? Should all this be true, once one reached the presence of "dattaswami", no more work needed to be done, for god would have already been reached. Please refrain from wasting time, energy and consciousness in discussing with those who come with millions of mouths but no ears to listen. All "dattaswami" devotees only discuss hinduism and other religions from the standpoint of the lines in bold. Refrain from reading or even glancing at anything that has "at the lotus feet of dattaswami" in the end without remembering the lines in bold. All knowledge "shared" by any of hsi devotees is only some mad attempt to confirm what has been stated in the lines in bold. Yet, as the great Sw. Vivekananda-ji has stated, there are as many faiths as there are individuals, so if you feel in tune with the whole "dattaswami" package, hurry and join their ranks. Just don't try to disguise yourself as an advaitin, yogin etc. You are a devotee of "dattaswami", period. Try and uncover my hidden motives, if afterall one believes there are any.... Guest guest
Dear KP, You are right . Surya was in our group Sadhna_shakthi but he quit after i did not approve one of his posts . Gayathri is still posting but nobody even takes those posts seriously. A Tree has to give shelter to those who come and under it! That is why Gayathri is still being tolerated as long as he does not shake the roots of the tree ! get, it! Advaita is like Haiku poetry. You understand more from what is left unsaid than what is said . in the 'mauna' diksha of Sri Rmana Bhagwan, one can realize the Truth of Advaita. If i want to know what Dattatreya said about this great philosophy of Advaita , i go straight to Avadhuta Gita and not go to some second hand source like Datta swami. Not that i have anything against this particular swami but there are far too many swamis out there and not all of them are credible. On this day dedicated to Guru, may i outline the five characteristics of a True guru In the presence of the satguru; Knowledge flourishes (Gyana raksha); Sorrow diminishes (Dukha kshaya); Joy wells up without any reason (Sukha aavirbhava); Abundance dawns (Samriddhi); All talents manifest (Sarva samvardhan). Who is such a sadguru ? None other than Adi Shankara Bhagvadapada ! Sri Gurubyo namaha! -- In advaitin, "Krishna Prasad" <rkrishp99> wrote: > > Hari OM! > > Dear Advaitins, > > This surya like people are sneaking in all the Hindu groups and preaching, > and not for knowledgable exchange of peaceful discussion, for a long time a > name id called Gayathri was there, most of the hindu groups kicked the id > out from their list. still it is active in Sadhana Shakthi group. > > Moderators please take note. > > With Love & OM! > > Jai Jai Shankara, Hara Hara Shankara, Kaladi Shankara! > > Krishna Prasad > >
