Guest guest
My 2 year old son has a tendency to catch cold very often. 6 months back (in November 2005) he had severe cold. He was making mild wheezing sound and doctor prescribed him albuterol and prednisolone. He was cured that time and it occurred again in April 2006. He had cold many times in between without wheezing. He was treated again with albuterol and a bit higher dosage of prednisolone. After the course of 5 days he was feeling better. Doctor has asked us give him flovent using an inhaler for another 2 months. We have not started this yet. This usage of steroids is frightening us. At the same time, we can't see him struggling to sleep. He coughs more at night and it is on and off. There is no wheezing. But we can hear low congestion sound. we are not able identify any triggers yet. This cough is not going away. He does not have wheezing everytime he gets cough and cold. Since he has not got this problem in off-season so far, I am not sure if this is asthma related. I dont see any allergy trigers either. What can I do to stop his cough? Thanks a ton in advance Vani
