My family is holding together (thank you) in spite of the fact that my eldest son (Andrew) had a stroke last week....left side of brain (area that controls speech). He's doing amazingly well and is expecting to go home from hospital today. Where as mantras are to invoke ( hope I have used the right word) The mantra needs to be repeated typically for 108 times where as stotras once /thrice or at the most 11 times Stotras have a author typically say for example Ganpati stotra has been( if I may use the word)written by Narada where as mantras have their origin in the vedas. Also mantras can be used while meditating. Best Regards Nilesh PS : Dear Wendyji - Hope all is well with you and family.
