The bleed was on the left side of the brain in the area that controls speech (and only his speech has been affected). His dasa lord Ketu conjuncts Mercury, significator for speech, and both KE/ME occupy nakshatra of 8th lord Venus...8th being house of accidents. As we know a stroke is known as a Cerebral Vascular Accident (CVA). When we think of accidents we naturally think of car accidents and so forth, but there are many kinds of accidents. Presently, dasa lord Ketu is transiting Virgo (Mercury's sign), again indicating speech. They kept him in yesterday for some more tests and he's still waiting to hear if he can go home today or not.
