i have little story about the Ganga river...i went down to offer obeisances

to her. i splashed water on my head and chanted my japa. An elderly man with

three horizontal lines on his forhead came beside me and kept encouraging me

to submege, but i was hesitant since i could see from my travels all manner

of stuff entered this river and my mind was convinced that even tho it was

holy the water would not be good. He said i was using my mind not my heart. i

was looking at the Ganga in a material way and not with my spiritual eyes. so i

took a leap of faith and enterd the waters. when i surfaced i could see

three dolphins come up for breath. they appeared pink in the setting sun. i felt

a surge of awe,love.... and humility. still i have far to go in my

appreciation and understanding. but i wont doubt, thanks to Ganga Ma.

Dear senka ~ thank you you so much for sharing your personal experience with

Ganga Ma.

I don't know if I will ever be well enough to go to India, but in many ways,

my heart lives there, at least some of the time. How beautiful ... both the

lesson, and the gift. I have always felt that there is something very special

about dolphins. I only saw them once, when I still lived in Maryland and had

gone to Bethany Beach on the Eastern Shore. I went out early in the morning,

but dawn had already occurred. Yet the site of this row of dolphins leaping

in and out of the ocean ... is beyond description. You do a very good job of

describing how it felt, and the extra beauty of seeing them in the setting

sun. Ahhhhhhhh ... I am so glad we are doing the EMS Sankalpa because I think of

all the precious creatures of this Earth and all the bountiful diversity of

flora and fauna, the rivers, lakes and oceans ... I can "see" Maa holding Bhu

Devi in Her sweet hands. Jai Maa ~ Linda
