Pranam to all group members,

With deep grief and sorrow filled heart, I am informing this group that Acharya HH Sri Vainatheya Ramanuja Jeeyar swamigal 39th pontiff of Alwarthirunagari Emperumanar Matham has demised (Thirunadu Alangharithar) on May 27th 2006 morning. This sad demise happened, while he was treated by a doctor for his breathing difficulties.

Around 600 - 1000 people has gathered and devoted their last respect to Jeeyar Swamigal. During this day, many activities including the Kapala Moksham and Thirunadu Alangharithal (entombment) has happened without any compromises to the Srivaishnava Sampradhayam. I am attaching a recent photograph of HH Vainatheya Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamigal taken few days before this sad demise and Shri Sreekath swamin has added a photograph of HH Vainatheya Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamigal in pbase.

Before this sad demise, HH Sri Devaraja Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamigal received his sanyasa ashramam and becoming 40th Pontiff of Emperumanar matham -Alwarthirunagari. HH Sri Devaraja Ramanuja Jeeyar swamigal is very well versed in Tamil, English and Sanskrit (Read & Write). Jeeyar Swamigal has devoted most of his life time practising 4000 divyap Prabandham and veda parayanam.

Jeeyar swamigal are devoting and sacrificing their life for their bhagthas by following very difficult life path. They are doing this duties for the well fare of their bhagthas & for the country and Inturn they expect nothing from the bhagthas. Shortly after taking sanyasa ashramam, Jeeyar swamigal vowed to respect all the sanyasa dharma prescribed in vedam and elevate the ramanuja samprathayam. We are very proud to see and hear HH Sri Devaraja Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamigal volunteered to accept Sanyasa ashramam and Jeeyar swamigal feels most fullfiled with his new life.
