Kindly accept my apologies if I created the impression that I wanted to "put

down" anyone.

 

It was really not my intention.

 

I'll admit to being frustrated dealing with some of the members of the

discussion who will simply not accept the "plain as day statements" of Srila

Prabhupada.

 

Isn't the system supposed to be that we "hear" (in the case of SP it's

rather "read" his books) from spiritual/vedic scriptural authorities and

accept the answers provided by them? Instead of interpolating our own

opinions or rather negating theirs by various forms of word jugglery?

 

Maybe you've noticed that of all the critizisms of my texts... the writers

have purposefully avoided commenting of what Srila Prabhupada had written on

the subject at hand. That women's duties are indeed different from those of

men and that within the home a woman has literally thousands of engagements,

both in the service of her "pati devata" but also in the service of Lord

Vishnu.

 

This is the transcendental arrangement - recommended by vedic authorities to

protect their chastity from unscrupulous immoral persons who simply want to

enjoy material pleasure at any cost. And the cost is repeated birth and

death in the miserable material world.

 

And with this I sign off from the discussion, which is now going on in the

two conferences above... and I'm no longer (for almost a year now) a member

of the VAD conference.
