How to respond to unfavourable press propoganda

Concerning positive material, whoever takes up the consolidation of the PR

in India might want to take a look at the positive results being achieved in

the existing Vrindavana and Mayapur Gurukulas and verify to the media that,

although the application of the system had many serious failings in the

past, many very fine examples of young well educated Vaisnavas have come out

of Vrindava and Mayapur over the last ten years. To my knowledge there has

been no major scandal on the part of a teacher at those Gurukulas during

that period. In the face of so much negativety, a carefully presented case

of our positive achievements would certainly help balance things up.

I have personally observed that the teachers in Mayapur Gurukula headed by

Racitambara Mataji, Vedasara Prabhu, Tara Prabhu, and Pancagauda Prabhu are

very determined not to allow any past mistakes to re-enter. I think Srila

Prabhupada would be pleased with the Mayapur Gurukula, as would many others

if given positive presentation.
