Guest guest
Dear Bhagavat Dharma Prabhu, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I see that for the second time running you have *avoided* answering every single point I make. Further this time you also have made it clear that you no longer wish to continue the discussion. We obviously must have hit a raw nerve. 1) You resolutely refuse to answer the point first raised by Bhakta Rupa prabhu about taking shelter of the Holy name. We will ask you for the third time - are you chanting 16 rounds a day and taking shelter of the holy name as advised by His Grace Bhakta Rupa Prabhu. If you fail to answer this question for the *third time* then it will be clear to everyone that you are *not* chanting 16 rounds a day and taking shelter of the holy name - which then of course makes what you say useless as well as hypocritical. 2) You also refuse to address the obvious point that you have a history of simply parroting whatever will ensure keeps your wages rolling in , and being a paid defender of regimes that have been proven over time to be corrupt - the zonal acharya system, Harikesa etc. etc. Therefore this is another reason why what you say has no value since you are clearly not thinking for yourself but simply reading from whatever script you are provided by your employers. 3) Finally your point about the GBC is redundant because again you avoid a simple point. Yes Srila Prabhupada did set up a GBC. But he also told us what the GBC was. Obviously if the GBC tomorrow said 'Krishna wasn't God', they would cease to be the GBC, and we would not need to follow them. The GBC are not a law unto themselves - they are bound by Srila Prabhupada's instructions - and in this way there is a check and balance to make sure they do not deviate. Srila Prabhupada has made this very clear when he set up and defined the GBC. I quote: "Resolved: The GBC (Governing Body Commission) has been established by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada to represent Him in carrying out the responsibility of managing the International Society for Krishna Consciousness of which He is the Founder-Acarya and supreme authority. The GBC accepts as its life and soul His divine instructions and recognises that it is completely dependent on His mercy in all respects. The GBC has no other function or purpose other than to execute the instructions so kindly given by His Divine Grace and preserve and spread His Teachings to the world in their pure form." (Definition of GBC, Resolution 1, GBC minutes 1975) It clearly states that the GBC has "no other function or purpose other than to execute the instructions so kindly given by His Divine Grace". I think you would agree that if the GBC did not do this, then they would no longer be the GBC - saying that Krishna was not God would be once such example of not 'executing the instructions' of Srila Prabhupada who has repeatedely made it clear that Krishna IS God. Similarly the July 9th directive was another instruction given by His Divine Grace which the GBC have not executed, thereby dis-enfranchising themselves. This is a very simple point. Your desire to continually avoid every point which is made and to simply run away from the discussion merely confirms 3 points: a) That you are NOT chanting 16 rounds every day. b) That you are just parroting whatever will keep your wages intact. c) That you know that the GBC have lost their authorisation to be the GBC by having *not* executed the instruction of July 9th. Let us see if you will be man enough to address these points or will you just avoid them again for the *3rd* time. ys, Adri
