I say 4,000 because that is the approximate number of verified votes we received in response to the CHAKRA debate supporting the GBC position paper on ISKCON initiations and rejectng the posthumous ritvik theory. If we did complete a petition for Adri's resignation with 4,000 names attached would this realistically pressure Adri to resign? Could this be used against him in a court to force him to resign? Would we be wasting our time? Any comments? ys ada

The courts have already ruled that he can not be forced to resign and he himself has no interest in doing so voluntarily. What makes you think he'd change his mind because of a petition? Besides, organizing such a drive would take a lot of time and effort. Why not spend that energy trying to clean up ISKCON instead? At this point of time, however, Adri is not only creating his own big mess but compounding some a very unfortunate past mess -- the abuse of some children. Adri is only make the situation much worse. Both in Calcutta and in Bangalore they are feeding the press with deliberate misinformation, mixing two separate issues to suit their unauthorised agenda. So spending energy for Adri's resignation at ths point of time is a very big step in cleaning up ISKCON. Hope you are well.
