This had nothing to do with COM. Thousands of hard copies of his surveys were mailed to temples all over the world. In our yatra, I know lots of devotees who filled them out, none of whom have COM acounts. They were distributed among temple devotees and to congregational members (primarily at the Sunday feast). If I were you, I'd contact him directly, so that any subsequent efforts to "take the temperature" of ISKCON members include your yatra. If there are confidentiality concerns, you could discuss those with him too, as I'm sure he's used to working with devotees who live in communities where they can't practice very openly. It's important for this kind of research that all subgroups are represented, as their responses affect both the overall means and prevalences (e.g. devotees' beliefs and behaviors), as well as any predictor analyses (e.g. what factors are associated with trust in the GBC?). Please send me a private letter if you need contact information. Ys, Madhusudani dasi
