That's sad, because I know that he went to great lengths to get as

representative sample as possible. This had nothing to do with

COM. Thousands of hard copies of his surveys were mailed to temples all

over the world. In our yatra, I know lots of devotees who filled them out,

none of whom have COM acounts. They were distributed among temple devotees

and to congregational members (primarily at the Sunday feast). If I were

you, I'd contact him directly, so that any subsequent efforts to "take the

temperature" of ISKCON members include your yatra. If there are

confidentiality concerns, you could discuss those with him too, as I'm sure

he's used to working with devotees who live in communities where they can't

practice very openly.

 

It's important for this kind of research that all subgroups are

represented, as their responses affect both the overall means and

prevalences (e.g. devotees' beliefs and behaviors), as well as any

predictor analyses (e.g. what factors are associated with trust in the GBC?).
