Well, the letter was definitely unsolicited, but it was sent to a

conference, *not to individual mailboxes*. Pretty much all

conference texts are unsolicited, including your response and my

current text. Does that make us spammers too in your eyes?

Let's not get into a censorship war, dragging our poor sysops into

the roles of policing conference texts and deciding which ones

contain lies. I believe that judging the appropriateness of

conference texts is up to the conference organizers. You can take

your case up with them and ultimately, if you disagree with their

decisions, you are welcome to withdraw from the conference.
