Guest guest
This is the first time I heard of the incicdent, and I live just near the Manor, and was there this morning and heard nothing about the incident. I don't doubt that it happened but I think it would be best to reserve judgment until we hear what the Manor Management has to say and compare that with what may well be an exaggerated report. The Narayana Maharaja Followers' behaviour here near the Manor is going from bad to worse. A small group of women behaved so badly that the Manor management had no other choice but to reluctantly ban them just to keep the peace. I won't go into the details here but the misbehaviour of these few women included using an ISKCON temple for promoting a nonISKCON guru, NM, and publicly cursing and swearing at ISKCON sannyasis, and so on. If someone believes that NM is better than any of our ISKCON gurus and sannyasis then they are entitled to that opinion. But they are not entitled to FORCE that opinion upon anyone else, just as we can't go to any other temple and FORCE Srila Prabhupada onto others. Such misbehaviour would be very primitive to say the least. My opinion is that anyone who is one hunderd per cent dedicated to Srila Prabhupada and to spreading his ISKCON in exactly the way Srila Prabhupada instructed us then he is indeed worshipable. Such association is the best of all. Although ISKCON has its faults I constantly see among our ranks many, many top level and grass roots devotees who are indeed worshipable by the criteria of being totally surrendered to Srila Prabhupada. NM is no doubt a great Vaisnava in his own circles but he does not I'm afriad show all the symptoms of being one hundred per cent surrendered to Srila Prabhupada. We have many Indian bodied gurus and sannyasis in ISKCON who are totally ISKCONised, totally surrendered to Srila Prabhupada, but NM can't seem to surrender himself at the lotus feets of Srila Prabhupada as per the standard ISKCON way. In ISKCON we just want to hear and associate with devotees who are Prabhupadanugas, those who follow in the footprints of Srila Prabhupada. Most ISKCON devotees don't want anyone else's ideas mixed into our Society. And in spite of all ISKCON's defects one can go back to Godhead through ISKCON in this very lifetime. So the problem here at the Manor is that there are a few intensely angry matajis trying to FORCE their opinions of NM into ISKCON; in the way the the ritviks do, and the devotees don't want it, they only want Srila Prabhupada. That's the overall situation here regarding NM. Regarding the specifics of the incident, I'll make some inquiries from the management and let you know. ys ada > Does anyone know the truth about this embarrassing incident?
