Guest guest
My dear Prabhujis, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! Yesterday Gopal Krishna Maharaja, Kumbha Mela Committee Chairman Mahaman, Vedvyaspriya Maharaja, Bhaktivinode Prabhu, and Sanaka Rishi Prabhu all came to visit and inspect the preparations at our camp in Kumbha Mela. They were all very much satisfied to see our progress and gave many helpful suggestions. Very much wishing to satisfy Srila Prabhupada, they all pledged support to this enormous preaching opportunity. Gopal Krishna Maharaj was very happy to see the very prominent and easily accessible location and the wonderful arrangements of the camp. He promised his full support and said he would get all the temples to enthusiastically support our preaching effort. He was very much encourage to get sponsors for our different programs. He also said he would encourage as many senior devotees as possible to come and participate. While they were all visiting us, our phone connection came and our number at our camp is 0532 509076. We also heard how Devakinandan in Bombay has put together a high class brochure and is approaching many prominent businessmen for support. He already had a meeting with Venu Gopal Dhoot of Videocon and we are anxiously awaiting news of their decision to help ISKCON in our preaching effort in Kumbha Mela. Bhaktivinode Prabhu was a mine of information and helpful suggestions, having come with Bhakti Raghava Maharaja in '89 to set up the camp. He said Maharaja sent him to buy a couple of chetais and they were just sitting in the middle of the sand on these matts. Bye and Bye a huge camp was erected by their sincere service. Sanak Rishi promised to supply his famous Gokul Herbal Tea for the health of all the Vaisnavas performing austerities staying in the cold Magh weather. Then Mahaman Prabhu took us all to the Holy Sangam. There we all went in a boat and led by Gopal Krishna Maharaja we took our holy dip in the brisk waters where the Ganga and Jamuna meet. The Ganga is flowing quite powerfully and has pushed up a huge island in the middle of the Sangam. Thus hitting this island, her water turn and rush head on into the Jamuna before mixing together and then turning around and flowing east around the island. It is very remarkable to see the line along the surface where the light sandy water of the Ganga meets the deep blue color of the Jamuna. In service to Sri Sri Krishna Balaram, Deena Bandhu dasa
