My reactions to Nitya-trpta prabhu's comments: > I thought: > Why do we have to blame our antipathy on anyone else besides our > individual person? Is not life but a test to advance in KC and fully > surrender to Guru and Krsna? And Their mission somehow or other? Feeling antipathetic (as opposed to sympathetic) towards a group of individuals is our choice, no doubt. But how can you say that the individuals who inspire this antipathy, in me for example, have no responsibility? Especially, if it is their job to inspire the opposite in me. If they are leaders, then they should be inspiring me to follow. If they are not, then certainly something is wrong, either in them or me. I continue to search my soul and find that, yes, much of my lack of inspiration is due to my own anarthas. But there is still an awful lot that I can only attribute to the incompetence of individuals and the system. > I know this is simplistic and they're many points to consider. As we > navigate our way through this life an individual devotee has choices to > make on a personal level that leads to the ultimte goal. These personal > choices not only effect the individual but the whole society. > > I am all for reform, ISKCON is a movement for reform. But how to undo > mistakes that happened 25 years ago, or one or two lifetimes ago? I believe we are seeking to prevent mistakes, problems, etc. that continue to happen, perhaps as a result of past mistakes but also as a result of present incompetence and faulty systems.
