The history of the congress party driving a wedge between hindus and muslims is legendary, (which includes among other things their support for accomodation of Muslim social codes within Indian law). So we can expect business as usual with the new government. However ISKCON has with the help of many individual politicians and other bigshots emerged from the shadows into mainstream Indian life as a transcendental catalyst for the revival of ancient but still living and very relevant Vedic spiritual and cultural traditions. We should simply continue with what we are doing at the grassroots level and intelligently approach the leaders of society wherever we find them favorable w/o identifying ISKCON with any particular party or group.
