Srila Prabhupada NectarFuture Hope

 

At Juhu, we were under constant attack from all sides

and I hesitated to leave the land for long, lest some

unfortunate occurrence should take place. But

sometimes I thought, " Am I imagining the threat? Am I

overestimating the need for my presence?"

After almost five years in India, still I have never

been in Vrndavana with Srila Prabhupada. In fact, I

had hardly left Bombay at all. Finally I decided to go

to Vrndavana and spend a few days with Srila

Prabhupada.

As soon as I got there, Srila Prabhupada inquired of

his secretary, "Oh, Giriraj is here? What is he doing

here?" Srila Prabhupada also said, "Giriraj can never

leave Bombay for more than three days." When I heard

what Srila Prabhupada had said, I decided to return to

Bombay the next day. Somehow in the end I stayed for

two days.

Still, Srila Prabhupada was very kind to me.

One day two other devotees and I were sitting in the

intimacy of Srila Prabhupada's room, at his lotus

feet.

Srila Prabhupada spoke about the importance of

management. He said the American Express Corporation

had made millions of dollars just from management.

"They give you a piece of paper and they tell you, 'If

you lose this piece of paper, we will give you another

piece of paper.' Nothing! Just management."

After sometime, 'Srila Prabhupada said', "If a girl

comes, you should not think, 'Oh, this girl has come,

let me exploit her.'

Rather you should think, 'Oh, this girl has come to

serve Krsna, let me help her.'"

Then Srila Prabhupada spoke our names and concluded -

"Future hopes of the World."
