Guest guest
By my posting the article by Francis Gauthier I was not endorsing his views, nor was I making any comment on modern Indian politics. I simply thought that the article would be of interest and value to the preaching soldiers of the Krishna Consciousness movement. Many ISKCON devotees who live outside of India see modern India only through the perspective of the Western press, and seeing another perspective may be helpful. I would be hard pressed to find a modern political party or even a single main-stream politician, in any part of the world, that can do much for the Krishna consciousness movement except perhaps in a limited way under special circumstances, and ISKCON should strictly avoid any kind of gross or subtle policial endorsements, either formal or from the vyasasan. By our preaching if we can make the people Krishna Conscious, then naturally they will exert their influence on the country as a whole.
