Guest guest
>> >> You speculate on how SP "managed" his instructions on initiations. >> >No again you miss the whole point. WE are agreeing that diksa comes under the remit of management within ISKCON. > No, diksa and siksa are not under anyones management -- in a sense. The GBC merely sets guidelines concerning details regarding the practice of general devotional principles within our society according to time and place. It seems to me that the rtiviks are enamoured by the idea that somehow by 'controlling' the institution, they can control both Krsna and the disciplic succession. A little bit of spiritual Hryanyakashipuism involved in that one, I suspect. None-the-less, today's TFOers are not the only one's who have ever had this idea. I guess to some degree we all do, and it is arguable our most important service to root this tendency out of our own hearts. It is never the business of a Vaisnava to institutionalize his/her personal anarthas. We have seen time and again how those indulging in this tendency eventually destroy themselves. I would suggest that could be one of the most powerful lessons from our zonal acarya period. ys, Sthita
