Respectfully, Dear prabhus. PAMHO AGTSP Thankyou for your investment of time. I appreciate you trying to explain your position. I apologise if it seems that I have not understood your position. It's no problem if you cannot continue. I am happy to leave it to other devotees to debate with you. I still don't think you have understood my point about pariksha, how am I understanding the CC verse and 4.34, but no problem, you clearly have a different understanding and I don't think we are going to agree. I understand that you feel that no one in ISKCON is authorised to give diksha, which I suppose is another way of saying that no one is qualified, because if they were qualified then they would be authorised, no? As I have stated, I don't accept your interpretation of the July 9 letter. My point about letters, citing the 1972 example, was simply that they are not necessarily absolute instructions meant for all times and circumstances. As far as I know, by 1977, in Prabhupada's presence, the details of the 1972 letter had changed, things were being done differently, and he was happy with it. But maybe I am wrong about that as I was not around at the time. Anyway, good luck with your arguments. I'm still surprised that you have chosen to go to court. If we are arguing about the meaning of Vaishnava sastra then I would have thought a group of senior Vaishnavas would be a better idea than some judge. But maybe he is a pandit of some sort, I don't know. As far as I am concerned, I feel that any of Prabhupada's disciples have his order to be guru, siksha and diksha, provided they meet the other sastric requirments. As a preacher I can't see how things will go on if we do not allow devotees to act as guru to the people they are trying to help. To me that really does seem absurd. Preacher means guru and vice versa. That is our business. So I shall carry on trying to do my little bit out here. Regrettably I have to say that I shall pray that your case fails, as I think my conscience would impel me to review my position as an ISKCON representative if the system of ritvik was insitituted, and initiations stopped. Your humble servant Krishna Dharma das.
