Guest guest
while reading your summary I remembered the following statement from Jahnu prabhu. I appreciate that he warned us of that practice of Desai-anugas. ys, bb here is what Jahnu pr wrote to you: >You just do like Krishna >Kant. He juggles some words, quotes something out of context, >present some strawmen, throws a smoke-screen at you, then runs >away shouting, 'I have defeated you!' Hare Krishna! We were not in the least convinced or impressed by any of the arguments put forward in favour of abolishing Srila Prabhupada's ritvik system. > That much we also find convincing. >Moreover the sheer stubbornness of members merely increases the realisation that our current course of action in the courts is right and proper. > I don't think you require our stubborness for inspiration, quite frankly. >Srila Prabhupada's movement is currently dominated by individuals who are inimical to his instructions, who cannot hear good advice, and who are set on a path that would bring ISKCON to ruin eventually. Although our action may be unpopular with some, we must persue it for the sake of the many. > Yep, I'm all for the idea that everyone who disagrees with me is a dope, too. >For the time being we shall be debating your great champion Ajamila on >CHAKRA. So we suggest you send him any further points you think will help him win the debate. > No one, not even Ajamila, has appointed him our new self-effulgent acarya. It is simply his sincere wish to enter into a philosophical debate with your good selves. I hope you feel Ajamila is 'big enough' to debate the ritvik team, being he is only presenting himself as one itty-bitty little follower of His Divine Grace. Gee, if I take ritvik initiation and become a god brother, can I debate too? I want to be just like the big boys when I grow up! -- naw, that will never happen. Hopefully the best man and not the biggest jerk will win -- whatever... You know I hate to spoil the suspense for everyone by giving away the ending before we even get started, but I predict both sides will claim victory no matter what happens. I mean even if the ritviks find themselves totally embarrassed, they will simply claim the debate was unfairly rigged by the moderator and that the real debate will be in court, etc. Like maybe I'm getting to be tri-kala-gya, even if I can't spell worth a darn. The down side of it is it can kinda makes some things seem dull and repetitive. ys, Sthita - 'I told you so' dhi-muni dasa

Convincing in the sense that the Adris feel convinced. ys, Sthita-dhi
