Why haven't the leaders of ISKCON take that up > > with equal or greater fervor? > > Why change the subject? Because I think the subject needs "changing" throughout the leadership of ISKCON and it is quite apparent that the results of the current management paradigm has lacked in success, to put it mildly. Srila Prabhupada was fully aware that his disciples were "falling down" from practice of brahminical principles because they weren't brahmanas by nature. Thus he said we should divide the society into the four varnas and train accordingly. Thus there isn't the fruitless attempt to make brahmanas out of sudras, vaisyas or ksatriyas, or the other way around, and all still get the perfection of Krsna consciousness. We push, shove and demand pancharatrika and other Vedic rituals when Srila Prabhupada said clearly, "varna first, then asrama. ...Asrama is later." People have to be engaged properly then they will have peace of mind and if they don't have peace of mind how can they take to this great philosophy? Stop putting the horse before the cart. Lord Caitanya preached to give up everything. He accepted no process other than chanting Hare Krsna much less pancharatrika and other Vedic rituals. But, Srila Prabhupada said that is NOT our program - varnasrama-dharma is our program because we have to give material facility to everyone on a larger scale because we are supposed to be merciful to everyone. We are doing things that are small, we have tiny influence on society at large. To have big influence this varnasrama-dharma program must be instituted. It is the MOST auspicious program. > You have every right to make a GBC proposal in this regard. Kindly do so > & "put your proposal where you keyboard is!" I've have been submitting such proposals to the leaders for over 24 years by many different means. It has always fallen on deaf ears I'm afraid. But I keep trying by typing the hell out of this keyboard and continuing my study of our guru maharaja's orders to start varnasrama-dharma everywhere in every center for everyone. Would you join in the effort to promote Srila Prabhupada's orders to implement varnasrama? Surely you know current leaders with influence.
