A small detail: "[Ajmaila] ... got an extension of life."

Rather than extension he got his life back which was shortened

by his sinful activities. Srila Prabhupada explains that the

potency of hearing the Visnuduttas preach to the Yamaduttas

purified Ajamila completely and his sinlessness gave him back

his life which enabled him to go to Haradwar where he was

eventually visited by the Visnuduttas again and taken back to

Godhead.

You probably meant it like that but I just wanted to make it

clear.

Although there is a possibility of attaining prefection just

with the holy name alone, as stated in C.C., which the ritviks

wrongly interpret, satoh vriteh, we have to follow in the

footsteps of our previous acaryas, as Bhanu Maharaja has

detailed above, by taking diksa and worshiping the Deity.
