Guest guest
Dear seniour vaisnavas, PAMHO. All glories to the GBC and GBC followers. AGTSP. A incredible offence against Srila Prabhupada was made by the IRG or the Rtvikvadis, since they said that Srila Prabhupada was telling some of his disciples that they can be gurus because they were ambitious. So now here the Rtvikvadis contradict the spotless caracter of a pure devotee of the highest order. Srila Prabhupada would never make a statement only to fullfil somebodies "desires for a career to be a guru". Srila Prabhupada also was not promising something to get things done, and after would change the system. It is very clear to see that Srila Prabhupada wanted his disciples to be trained up as gurus, so mean he didn't blindly appoint somebody just because he was ambitious. The Rtvikvadis say they follow Srila Prabhupada since he is a nitya siddha, still they are Letter to: Kirtanananda : 69-01-12 A first examination will be held sometimes next January on Bhagavad-gita As It Is, and those passing will have the degree of Bhakti-sastri. Next year we will hold an examination on Srimad-Bhagavatam, and the person who passes will have the title Bhakti-vaibhava. And the next year we shall hold and examination on Teachings of Lord Caitanya, Nectar of Devotion and Vedanta Sutra, and those who will successfully pass will be awarded with the title of Bhaktivedanta. By 1975, all of those who have passed all of the above examinations will be specifically empowered to initiate and increase the number of the Krishna Consciousness population. POINT: Srila Prabhupada was thinking even in the early days how to train up his disciples to be INITIATING (it is clearely written "to initiate". THis letter cannot be taken as an private letter to an disciple wanting power, since Srila Prabhupada says "all those who will pass", so Srila Prabhupada's intention was not to pacify sombodies ambitions. Srimad-Bhagavatam Canto 2: Chapter Nine, Text 43 One who is now the disciple is the next spiritual master. And one cannot be a bona fide and authorized spiritual master unless one has been strictly obedient to his spiritual master. COMMENT: So a disciple can be the next guru when he strictly follows the guru. This is the qualification to be next guru. To be stricly obedient. When one starts to disobey the guru or his teachings, the position as a guru is lost. Letter to: Acyutananda and Jaya Govinda : 68-08-21 The first thing, I warn Acyutananda, do not try to initiate. You are not in a proper position now... Don't be allured by such maya. I am training you all to become future Spiritual Masters, but do not be in a hurry. COMMENT: This so called "private letter" is still an evidence for the desire of Srila Prabhupada that his disciples will become diksa guru's. Srila Prabhupada says "do not try to initiate now", so "the spiritual master" in the later text means diksa guru as Srila Prabhupada is saying that he is training all, and they should not be in hurry. Srila Prabhupada wanted to train them perfectly so they could follow him perfectly and then become gurus. Why they Srila Prabhupada told Acyutanada Prabhu he should not initiate, it is because he was not yet prepared and also out of etiquette since Srila Prabhupada as his guru was present. Ambition to serve the guru and safe the fallen souls is not bad, but one has to be trained up. Srila Prabhupada is saying he is training all, so all means all his disciples. So this letter was not written only to this two disciples, the possible Rtvikvadis comment that this was meaned only to pacify ambitious devotees cannot be accepted, since Prabhupada says he wants to train all, and is not promissing this to some ambitious group, even in dream I cannot accept that Srila Prabhupada was offering posts to ambitious people as an polititian. Letter to: Madhudvisa : 72-06-16 I am successful only because I am following strictly the orders of my Guru Maharaja, and I do not deviate. Therefore people respect what I am saying and they listen because I do not say one thing and do another. So now you are doing my work and you shall be like me and be yourselves the worthy representatives of our disciplic succession. COMMENT: The representaives of disciplic succession are diksa guru' since they accept disciples and than their disciples have disciples and so one. So a parampara naturally is formed. Letter to: Tusta Krishna Swami : 75-12-02 I want to see my disciples become bonafide Spiritual Master and spread Krishna consciousness very widely, that will make me and Krishna very happy. COMMENT: This instruction can not be taken as a private one since Srila Prabhupada says "my disciples" and doesn't mention a devotee or a group of ambitious devotees, although the letter was addressed to a singlke devotee, he only informed him of his plans with all his disciples. Prabhupada's Lectures Bhagavad-gita 1968 Just like we are also following the instruction of our spiritual master. I don't claim that I am pure devotee or perfect, but my only qualification is that I am trying to follow the instruction of the perfect. Letter to: Jaya Mazo : 68-01-18 Practically, I do not have any disciples; I select so many masters _ to train them in the service of the Lord. Your natural attraction for Krishna makes it show that in your previous birth you have cultured this science of Krishna Consciousness. COMMENT: So Srila Prabhupada is selecting masters and is training them, so a guru sees his disciples as future gurus and trains them to save more and more people.
