Dear devotees,

PAMHO AGTSP

One of the statements made by the pro-rtviks is that there should be "no

change" between what was going on during Prabhupada's time and now. They

call it the No Change in ISKCON Paradigm (NCIP).

Let us for argument's sake accept their NCIP.

Now during Prabhupada's time, whenever anyone wanted to make any change in

ISKCON it had to be only UNDER the GBC and NOT AGAINST the GBC.

Prabhupada made it very clear:

"The GBC authority must be accepted under

all circumstances, not that there will be fighting

amongst you. This fighting spirit will destroy

everything." (SPL Bali Mardan, 18 Sept, '72)

Sometimes the pro-rtviks say they are really "totally for GBC". But then why

do they rebel against Srila Prabhupada's instruction to fully co-operate

with the GBC?

Even during Srila Prabhupada's physical presence, objections to

GBC resolutions only went through an authorised forum at an

appropriate time, or not at all. Srila Prabhupada clearly wanted

everyone to co-operate fully with the GBC. The pro-rtviks' rebellion

against the GBC's unanimous decision against ritvikism clearly

violates Srila Prabhupada's directive.

Here is another statement in this regard by Srila Prabhupada:

"So far your question, how far should the orders of my

duly appointed officers like GBC, etc., be obeyed and

followed, the answer is that they must always be

followed exactly as he says. Have you not heard me on

this point? Why these questions are repeated again and

again? This individual begging must be stopped."

(SPL to Jayadharma, 13th December, 1972)

This letter is very significant in this regard. Firstly Prabhupada says that

"they must ALWAYS be followed EXACTLY."

Then he admonishes Jayadharma, "Have you not heard me on this point? Why

these questions are repeated again and again?" This shows that this was

something Prabhupada expected to be of common knowledge to an ISKCON member.

Thirdly Prabhupada declares, "This individual begging must be stopped."

Thus Srila Prabhupada often made it very clear that he was very displeased

with devotees who did not co-operate with the GBC. There is no question of

disobeying the GBC what to speaking of fighting with the GBC at court!!!

So this is how it was during Prabhupada's time. According to the

NCIP-proponents, there can be ***NO CHANGE from what was happening during

Prabhupada's time to what should happen after Prabhupada's samadhi***. So

why are they CHANGING their mode of action of being UNDER the GBC in all

circumstances? They should NOT CHANGE the system established by Prabhupada

that the GBC should be obeyed in ALL CIRCUMSTANCES. Besides, "THE SYSTEM OF

MANAGEMENT SHOULD NOT BE CHANGED" (as the pro-rtviks often quote from

Prabhupada's Will).

No one ever went to court to fight against the GBC (no one would have dared

to do so) during Prabhupada's time. So on what authority are they disobeying

Prabhupada's statement that the system of management should not change?

If they really hate the GBC and ISKCON since they believe it has deviated

from Prabhupada's instructions, then they should follow in Prabhupada's

footsteps and create a new society from a scratch and not be parasites of

ISKCON, and that too fighting against it. But why do the No-Change-vadis

change such a principal directive of Prabhupada to work UNDER the GBC in all

circumstances?
