Guest guest
> Then if a guru falls down in the future (ofcourse we hope that no one > will) which is possible according to Srila Prabhupada, Thakura > Bhaktivinoda & Narahari Sarkara, then disciples or devotees won't be so > shocked at this that they loose their faith in Krsna consciousness > philosophy. Excellent suggestion about creating a conference / group for reseraching the shastras and teachings of previous acharyas. Obviously, no one is leaving ISKCON because Kashyap Muni or Vishvamitra Muni or Saubhari Rishi fell down. We should understand very thoroughly this subject of falldown, it's causes, and its prevention based on shastra, sadhus and Srila Prabhupada. One thing that strikes me as significant is that Srila Prabhupada did not say so much about what should be done if in succeding generations gurus fall down--nothing specific about what the disciples should do, etc. On this topic, unless you do refer to scriptures and teachings of acharyas (not necessarily translated and commented on by Srila Prabhupada), you run every risk of doing something which is actually apasidhantic. At best you are on thin ice. ys KKdas
