Guest guest
> That is; "what really is missing is humility." If our gurus acted with > the utmost humility at all times - amanina manadena - then they might even > become "uttama"! This had been lacking in the character of many of those > who suffered falldowns... and God knows who else [guess the finger is > pointing at me too here! ]. But humility also comes by advancement in Krsna consciousness. That is why the uttama-adhikari is the utmost humble because he thinks that everyone else is better than him. And advancement comes by the pure chanting of the maha-mantra. But again the pure chanting of the maha-mantra can be done only when one takes a humble position. It is like a cycle. By being humble you can chant purely and by chanting purely you become more humble. For a madhyama and kanishtha, humility means to accept his real position and to not accept worship not meant for his position. Because he can't become as humble an uttama-adhikari who is exhibiting the topmost humility and calls himself worse then the worm in the stool and really feels like that. Lord Caitanya told Rupa & Sanatana that your humility is breaking my heart. This is the humility of the nitya-siddhas which also cannot be imitated.
