The whole point is with a madhyama or kanishtha guru, you can't enter into the deepest (if not deeper) levels of the guru and disciple relationship because the madhyama guru has himself not reached to the deepest levels himself. This should be accepted and understood thoroughly, especially by the disciples of the madhyama & kanishtha gurus. Guest guest
Of course, 'deep' can be taken in a relative way. For instance, to a beginner, a devotee engaged for a few years may appear 'deep'. Further, if all the devotees are engaged sincerely in service, then they all can be making advancement towards Krsna. Thus, this devotee with a few years over the beginner could always appear 'deep' in comparison. To me, us beginners worried about entering the deepest most intimate rasas, and then worrying if Krsna will deny us the opportunity because of our doubts about our present spiritual relationships, might be a concern out of perspective in some instances considering our current realistic situation. But if someone feels confident in a particular spiritual relationship, and if this relationship is carried out according to the standards of basic Vaisnava ettiquette, then by all means, the devotee should feel it is appropriate to pursue his Krsna consciousness. ys, Sthita >[Text 2637133 from COM] > >> While that may be present, the essence of the eternal principle of the >> guru/disicple relationship goes much deeper than that, in my opinion. > >The whole point is with a madhyama or kanishtha guru, you can't enter into >the deepest (if not deeper) levels of the guru and disciple relationship >because the madhyama guru has himself not reached to the deepest levels >himself.
