Each time I open a posting made by Jivan Mukta, he talks about demons, offenders, aparadhas, hell and the like. The worst is that he get an audience! This is the first ligne of his new message: > It is offensive statements like the one recently made by Pranada dasi--who > trivialized the acara of our acarya-- > ... to make even bolder aparadhas against him (Prabhupada). > Your servant, Jivan Mukta dasa >> It is also true that Jivan Mukta seems to be reading Pranada dasi's statement completely backwards. What she was saying is that local custom and Srila Prabhupada's example actually are not opposed to her position. Jivan Mukta apparently is misreading her statement to mean that we should be permitted to defy local custom and Srila Prabhupada's example. I have to admit that some of Mother Dhyanakunda's statements quoted by Jivan Mukta are troubling to me. I have not seen them before (I just got involved in this thread) and I did not have time to read them carefully. I think the internet is a particularly poor medium for this kind of discussion, however, and that it is generally a bad policy to start publishing mass e-mail accusing our godbrothers and godsisters of being offenders and demons .
