Sometimes it does appear as if we are all indulging in too much victimhood. We often talk of being self-sufficient, which might also suggest taking personal responsibility and initiative in our spiritual life in as cooperative of a mood of a we possibly can muster. There was never any guarentee given to us that the going would always be 'pleasant'. >> His Divine Grace has supplied us with all the components of a happy spiritual life, we just need to engage ourselves in the process. We are victims only of our own frailty. We beg for service every day we chant our 16 rounds. Please engage me, please engage me, please engage me! This is not a new question or prayer! We daily pray to be continuously engaged! Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare! Your servant, Sri Rama das >> Srila Prabhupada chastised us when anyone claimed to be the most fallen, so who is claiming the dubious title of exclusive abuse? The good news is that ISKCON GBC can anticipate and appreciate the influx of vanaprasth back into full time direct service. If we respect one another even in disagreement, the mission will spread, preaching will go on and Srila Prabhupada will be pleased! We, individually and collectively can enthusiastically serve our beloved Srila Prabhupada by forever utilizing a positive attitude and a Krishna conscious plan. We do not like to hear that, but it is the truth. If you don't believe me I am serious about taking those statistics! While it is true that no one has a monopoly on abuse, it can happen to anyone, it still happens to women and children more. This is the reason Prabhupada put so much emphasis on woman protection, because the women (and therefore their children) are more inclined to receive abuse by others. To say otherwise would be contradictory to what Prabhupada has said. Do the math. YS, Prtha dd
