Guest guest
>I thought we were talking about the incident at the Krishna Balaram Mandir >in Vrindavan where Western ISKCON Matajis have demanded & seemingly been >awarded "equal rights" with the men. That's where it started. But KK changed the focus slightly when he started generalizing about all Indian couples vs. all western couples. I simply tried to show that there is more that one India and that such generalizations are not helpful. KK completely missed that point and instead objected very strongly to my mentioning that there was *anything* wrong with India. *Then* came the quote on women needing to be submissive to their husbands, which was kind of out of the blue. The Vrindavan incident was unfortunate, but I'm still not sure how it relates to the need for a wife to be submissive to her *husband*. Were there any husbands present who tried to stop their wives from getting darsana of the deities, and wives who disobeyed them? Marital issues is one thing, but I don't think I've ever seen a quote that says that every woman needs to be submissive to every man....?
