I am sorry to have expressed myself so strongly in my previous posts. While these are certainly important issues, disrespecting my senior godbrothers, such as HH Trivikrama Swami, HH Giriraja Maharaja, etc. will not help me gain any favors. I beg their forbearance and continued kindness despite my blunt words. Cooperation means everyone is respected and made to feel they have a rightful place in the ISKCON family. It is just that for too many years, too many devotees have felt estranged, disenfranchised and severely disappointed by those in positions of power and authority. Ultimately, they become so frustrated, they go away, or at least diminish their involvement in ISKCON. So when I keep hearing more excuses by such authority figures for not seriously addressing devotees' concerns -- in this case, the ladies getting facility to take darshan in the temple during the temple programs -- I become completely flustered, "What does it take to get the message through? Leader means (he) has got to LISTEN!" And a good leader means he responds timely and effectively to everyone's satisfaction. Was that not true of Srila Prabhupada? A leader must become a HERO by acting in the best interests for ALL of his charges. If a leader can't win the loyalty and respect of his subordinates, then he should have the honesty and integrity to resign. Otherwise, we should expect there must be widespread discontent and unpleasant confrontations. It is only natural. How can we dare to boast that Krsna consciousness can solve all problems and make human society peaceful when we can't properly honor the needs of our own ladyfolk within the confines of a (small) spiritual society specifically meant to become the example for all MANkind? Humbly but honestly, Srila dasa
