Here are the figures as reported: Married with children: 26% Not married with children: 12% Married, no children: 30% Not married, no children: 32% Source: General Social Survey Conducted by the University Of Chicago It appears that an increasing number of individuals are postponing both marriage and having children. According to the author, these numbers also reflect the growing number of babyboomers whose children have moved out.
