Like Guru Krsna put it: "That was like a soothing Vaikuntha breeze for me."

PAMHO. AGTSP. This is the first time I've heard a devotee man say "Ladies

first" (and I've been around since 1970).

It's always pained me that every male, including new bhaktas and small

children, make their offerings before female devotees who are their mothers

and senior devotees. Honestly not for myself, but for my more advanced

Godsisters; plus it gives a very negative message to the small girls and

visitors. I think it's quite sad that in some temples the ladies are still

forced to stand in the back of the temple room, separated from their Lord.

It was extremely difficult to tolerate that for 20+ years, knowing that

Srila Prabhupada himself allowed women to be up front.

I've rationalized it all by thinking that the spiritual world is the

opposite of the material world - so maybe there men go first? :-:

your humble servant,

Mamata devi dasi
