To suggest that she "doesn't see > nothing wrong" with killing cows is a bit absurd. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Thank you for your short rebuke. Actually I did not mean to insult her. It is just the tone of her message that are very much in line of Madhusudani Radha that prompted me to write that. Judging from the contents of that text, it looks she is on the borderline of loosing faith in Krishna consciousness or Vedic culture. Feminist issue in our movement is a big cancer that needs to be taking very seriously. This issue is leading to the blaspheming of Srila Prabhupada and the erosion of faith in Vedic culture, by all these devotee feminists. It is unfortunate that our leaders are not doing anything about it or are even supportive of it. Bir Krishna Maharaja, the GBC chairman was very quick in passing jugdement on Vrindavana incident but did nothing about the blaspheming of Srila Prabhupada being portrayed by the ISKCON devotee feminists. Our mainly Western leaders are very eager to protect the women and give them equal rights, but not so eager about protection and preservation of the Vedic culture as taught to us by Srila Prabhupada? Sorry if my language seems too harsh. I just can find better ways to express it. Your servant, Isvara dasa.

However, my faith in Krsna, Prabhupada and the original vedic culture is as strong as ever. My only heart-break and disappointment is in the things I've seen in our beloved India which do *not* live up to those standards. And from the recent texts by other devotees who have lived in India for many years, what I saw, doesn't seem to be exceptions. I *don't want to* see meat eating, alcoholism, domestic violence, adultery, corruption etc. in this wonderful place. I want it to be a country where I can go to forget those things and be inspired in my Krsna Consciousness. That's why I'm trying to do something about it and in the process I've actually been able to do some preaching too - certainly much more than I can do when conducting my work here in the US. For example, my Indian colleagues become ashamed and embarrassed to eat meat and often change their orders in the restaurants to which they take me when they hear that I'm a vegetarian. And they love it when I (a blond blue-eyed Westerner) quote the Bhagavad Gita to make some point in my presentations. Indian porfessionals who invite us over to help them look up to us Western experts. I know it's unwarranted, but if I can take advantage of that to help them appreciate Krsna more - I don't mind taking advantage. Hope that makes things clearer. We're really on the same side here.
