Prabhupada said he only finished 1/2 his mission, varnasrama still missing. What if the devotees feel their girls need more education. It was seen before that Prabhupada changed his mind on different issued. Do you think our ways of executing varnasrama is already cemented. > Is it not imposing gender consciousness when Prabhupada says that "girls" > gurukula is a concoction? So no girls went to gurukul at Prabhupadas time? > Is it not imposing gender consciousness when Prabhupada says that women > are like fire and men like butter? > Is it not imposing gender consciousness when Prabhupada say that "there is > a difference between male and female that exists even in the higher > statuses of life-in fact, even between Lord Siva and his wife?" > > Is it not imposing gender consciousness when Prabhupada says that women > should not be in Vrndavana? Why did he ask them to go there then? > Is it not imposing gender consciousness when Prabhupada says that women > should not be given freedom or independence? > > Is it not imposing gender consciousness when Prabhupada says that women > are less intelligent? Devotee-women are most intelligent. > Is it not imposing gender consciousness when Prabhupada says that the > Aryan civilization is being insulted by having a female as its chief > executive? How come an "Aryan" civilisation cannot foster a proper-gendered chief executive? Are you suggesting the "Aryan" civilisation is henpecked? > Is it not imposing gender consciousness when Prabhupada says that "it is > most regrettable when a woman becomes the executive head instead of a > lionlike king." > > Is it not imposing gender consciousness when Prabhupada says that women > cannot have equal rights? > > etc. etc. > > ys. JMd It is not imposing, but Prabhupada is stating the facts of life, nature cannot be changed that easily. Imposing is when somebody sees nothing but man/woman - man/woman - man/woman, everywhere, all the time. Narada Muni kept a woman in his asram; would we have seen Prahlad Maharaj, if he had kept to the standard, without considering time, place and circumstances? ys TM
