I'd like to add that Tusta Krishna prabhu was one of those who helped Srila Prabhupada in Bombay. We all know how grateful he was to the devotees who stuck that porgram out for any length of time. This explains Srila Prabhupada's mention that "only Mr. Nair will not go [back to Godhead]" in an often-quoted letter to Tusta. The temple he started in New Zealand was a vigorous, thriving community. On a foamous morning walk taped in Mayapura, when devotees asked Srila Prabhupada if they should prepare for impending nuclear devastation by going to the forest, he replied, "You should prepare by chanting Hare Krishna" Then he asked, Who is that saintly person sitting under that tree?" The devotees answered, "Tusta Krishna Maharaj." Then Srila Prabhupada cllarified everything: Like that. When there is too much danger, you all come and sit down here. Chant Hare krishna. That's all." More recently, he has been preaching in Poland under the direction of Siddhasvarupa, with great success and to the consternation of many ISKCON devotees there. Perhaps we could mark his passing (surrounded by devotees who loved him, immersed in kirtan) as an opportunity to consider exploring how we can celebrate unity in diversity among the servants of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's message.
