If the varshaphala lagna conincides with natal chart's lagna (i.e. both are same) - then current year is seen as challenging year. Is it so? Dear Mr.Prafulla, Not only major thing but also the placement of Muntha merely decide the falit of said varsha.If the varshaphala lagna conincides with natal chart's lagna too even than if Muntha is placed in benefic house that can override the all bad effects.In fact there is no need to see other factors in varshaphala as ascendant, dasas or varsh yogas except Muntha.If Muntha is well placed than it is sure the said year passes smoothly. For example - for year 2006 - my muntha has come in 4th house (March 8, 1967; 17.40 IST; Jodhpur - India - 73E04 / 26N17) with the varshaphala lagna as leo (same as natal chart). If it is placed in 1,2,3,5,9,10,11th houses,than it is beneficial but in 4,6,7,8 & 12 houses it is harmful.If it is placed in 4th house,it gives fear towards enemies, restlessness in mind,defamation,transfer,pain below knee and Vaau pain in body but if Munthesh is strong than it will be less harmful.
