All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Sorry to trouble you . Can anyone help ? I need some " clear laquer " for my Prabhupada deity because I love to put chandan on him as I did 25 years ago . With Indian paint it is not possible . Please let me know and send with someone if you can . I also need to know about a "Sprout " making contraption . I have heard that it is very simple but sprouts mung dahl very quickly . Does anyone have any idea . This protein is essential for me . There are various forms of special sprouting trays available in any western health food store. Typically they are made of plastic with dividers. Don't worry if you cannot find these in India. A very simple sprouter can be made out of a small glass jar (probably less than one-litre size) with a layer or two of cheesecloth or muslin spread across the top and secured about the jar with an elastic rubber band. You place your mung beans, chick peas, alfalfa or clover seeds, or sunflower seeds in the bottom of the jar (perhaps one-fifth full). Then fill the jar with clean water (in Indian villages you should probably use boiled water that has cooled, although hospital drinking water is likely okay). Leave the seeds overnight, then drain the water away (this is where the muslin is handy, as it prevents the seeds from being lost.) >From now on, wash the beans or other seeds two or three times a day, draining away the water afterwards so that the seeds remain moist between rinsings. (Don't cover them with water as you did the first night, or they will ferment rather than produce healthy sprouts.) In a few days most of your seeds should have sprouted to the desired length, and the healthful sprouts can be offered to the Lord directly, or incorporated lightly steamed in cooked meals.
