Guest guest
I have never understood Nityananda Trayodasi and Varaha Dvadasi . We fast on Varaha Dvadasi till noon . ( presumably without any prasad at all - only water ) Then from noon we continue with Ekadasi prasad . Then the next day we break ekadasi and again start a fast for Nityananda till noon and Feast after noon . Is this correct ? Why do we not take any prasad at all on Ekadasi in the morning and then take Ekadasi prasad in the afternoon . Then most bewildering is what is the fast on Trayodasi ? Who is it for ? Have we not already broken the morning fast by taking a grain ? My question is probably confusing to some degree but perhaps someone can give some authoritative explanation .
