Guest guest
On February 24, Devamata dd, a disciple of Harikesa Prabhu from Tbilisi, Georgia, left her body after a long battle with cancer. Devamata was a wonderful devotee who was loved and admired by all for her golden heart. She was kind and humble, never talked bad about anyone, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was by profession an English teacher, so when she joined ISKCON she worked for a few years as a translator in th e Georgian BBT. She did her service with talent and diligence with which she pleased greatly her spiritual master. She was also one of the best cooks Sri Sri Gandharvika Giridhari in Korsnas ever had and prepared countless delicious offerings for Them. Everyone loved Devamata's prasadam which always tasted like nectar, being saturated with her devotion to Krsna. Nandapriya Prabhu writes from Georgia: > Yesterday, on 24th of February, at 3.15 P.M. she passed away in a > peaceful state of mind. I was chanting Hare Krsna in her year at the > moment she left. She was very Krsna conscious, unafraid, and fixed. > Till the end she was displaying wonderful qualities, and awareness of > gentle behavour. She told me that she constantly remembered Sri Sri > Radha-Krsna's lotus feet. > > All the necessary things are taken care of nicely, and there will be a > lot prasadam served to the relatives and others. > > Thank you for your prayers and support. We are glad that Devamata passed the final test and could remember Lord Krsna at the time of death, yet we will always miss her and lament her untimely departure.
