The Spiritual Life

Dear Devotees of the Lord,

 

I have recently arrived in Nashville Tennessee to

visit a friend.

I arrive here after three years of writing and

publishing preparation in New Mexico, praying to the

Godhead to show me how and where He wants me to best

serve Him. During these years I have found great

inspiration amidst the near leveling of my life.

Virtually all worldly possessions and positions that

have had their hold on me have passed away. Many

friends around me have seen this as a strange tragedy

of loss, but I don’t. I am aware that I am being freed

from much material madness.

I have spent half my life in religious practices

ranging from Christianity and Zen Buddhism as a child

to my early adulthood chanting the Holy names of Lord

Sri Krishna.

In the twenty years since my first realization of who

Lord Sri Krishna is and my initial encounters with

ISKON in Boston in 1980, I have lived in the United

States and Canada trying hard to develop my spiritual

path while traveling and working and writing with

others on spiritual or humanitarian subjects and

projects.

Now more easily freed up materially I find my need to

live nearer to ISKON in community with the devotees is

clear to me. It is clear that I need to be living near

a temple, worshiping Lord Sri Krishna in the Temple

every day.

I would like to discuss with some of the devotees my

feelings about deepening my spiritual path in service

to the Lord. About my love for the Godhead and ISKON,

about what I can do regarding that now, and how I can

be part of and contribute to the ISKON community from

now on.

I would like it very much if someone could respond to

this email or if I could call soon to openly talk

about this.
