Dear Preachers, Hare Krishna!

Please accept my humble obeisances, all glories to Srila Prabhupada

Here at the ISKCON Congregational Development Ministry we are finishing

working on a new course, the Congregational Trainer Course.

To systematically propagate the knowledge, values and skills required for

successful congregational development there is need for many trainers. The

idea is identify devotees who already have experience in teaching/preaching

and in congregational preaching, and coach them to facilitate courses and

lessons produced or recommended by the Congregational Development Ministry

(or produce their own lessons).

Here are the aims of the Congregational Trainer Course

1. To identify potential congregational trainers and assist them to develop

the required skills to facilitate courses produced or recommended by the

ISKCON Congregational Development Ministry.

2. To familiare the students with the principles of systematic training and

of experiential learning, and to inspire them to apply such principles.

3. To help students improve their speaking skills.

4. To help students increase their confidence in teaching.

6. To train students to write new lessons.

7. To familiarize students with the most common learning activities and help

them appreciate the importance of using variety in the classroom.

8. To teach students how to effectively use flipcharts and other resources.

9. To inspire students to continue develop their teaching skills after the

course.

The course consists in 12 lessons of 90 minutes each, that can be presented

in 3 days or more, according to local situations. Successful participants

will receive a certificate as a Congregational Trainer.

We are working on fixing the exact dates for 3-4 courses, in the Middle

East, in the Baltic region, in Russia, and, as a premiere, in Sridham

Mayapur, starting in 3-4 days.

Kindly wish us good luck (an informal way to ask for your blessings).

Your servant, Kaunteya das
