Dear Maharajas and Prabhus,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Recently in the course of my service, I have been thinking of ways of

increasing the sales of Alien Identities and other of Sadaputa Prabhu's

books, and one idea came to mind that might be applicable for the promotion

of devotee-authored books in general.

Amazon.com, a very popular Internet bookstore, displays customer reviews for

the different books they sell. Anyone can submit a review for a book they

have read. Amazon also displays reviews by the authors and publishers of

the works. Well-written, favorable, and informative reviews of different

devotee-authored literature could help increase interest in these works.

Srila Prabhupada's Bhagavad Gita As It Is already has 32 customer reviews,

but other books of his like Science of Self Realization and

Caitanya-caritamrita have just one or two, and the Light of the Bhagavata

has none at all. Amazon.com promises a chance to win a gift certificate of

$50 to the first reviewer of any particular book. Besides Srila

Prabhupada's books, there are also books by his followers which we can

promote.

This is an easy opportunity to glorify our favorite writers and their

literature and help promote sales of transcendental literature in human

society.

"On the other hand, that literature which is full of descriptions of the

transcendental glories of the name, fame, forms, pastimes, etc., of the

unlimited Supreme Lord is a different creation, full of transcendental words

directed toward bringing about a revolution in the impious lives of this

world’s misdirected civilization. Such transcendental literatures, even

though imperfectly composed, are heard, sung and accepted by purified men

who are thoroughly honest." (SB 1.5.11)

Thank you for your attention.

your servant,

Krishna-kripa das
