Caturmasya and Adhika Masa.

Dear devotees,

>From 06th July 01, Friday Caturmasya begins. The first month is fast from

Greens, fast from yoghurt in the second month (from 5th Aug 01), fast from

milk in the third month (from 03 Sep 01), fast from Urad Dhal (from 2nd Nov

01).

 

So looks like there is extra austerity this year that the Caturmasya extends

for 5 months due to Adhika Masa and fasting from milk is from 03 Sep '01 to

01 Nov '01.

 

Am I correct in this understanding?
